December 06, 2022 Holiday Reception

One of the surprise benefits of being a small business owner is being more connected with our community. It's really a privilege and a blessing.

Last week Frank and I attended a Holiday Reception put on by the Master Builder's Association and Tacoma Pierce County Association of Realtors. We really enjoyed talking to some of the influencers in our area. We spent time speaking with the the Pierce County Sheriff's head of correction facilities and head of investigations. We got to hear the tragic story about Tiffany's Skating Rink straight from Dennis King, Puyallup Council Member. I also met Christian and Priscilla who own Lakewood Roofing and seem like amazing people. We took this selfie with them. Another neat person to speak with was Liz, who was new WA and to her job at Tacoma Habitat. She confirmed how big corporations are bidding out to-be-home owners and buying large quantities of single-family homes that will forever be rental properties, the profits of which will only go to pad the pocketbooks of the very wealthy.
