October 21, 2022 Driveway Replacement

This driveway, located in South Hill Puyallup, WA was in dire need of replacement. But the customers didn't want to spend a lot of money on the project. We suggested using crushed asphalt to replace the driveway. Instead of spending upwards of ten thousand dollars, the customer was able to hire us to haul away the old concrete, regrade the driveway and install crushed asphalt in its place for a fraction of the cost. 

Crushed asphalt is a truly great product for certain applications. It is inexpensive because it is the waste from roads that have been dug up and replaced. It's crushed and has enough fines (small sand like particles) and remaining tar to keep it very compacted. It isn't hard like asphalt, but it much more solid than a gravel driveway or parking lot. Plus, it's recycled! And that makes everyone feel good.There are differences in product from one distributor to another.
